Hope you enjoyed your gentle pootle around Suffolk. Seriously though, it
was good to see so many cyclists in my srea, and I would say that from what
I saw most car drivers seemed to be showing some respect, although no doubt
some of you will say different!

I'm not too fussed about eating the occasional piece of dirt, but that
seems like a good idea, yes. Of course, with the drum brake and all, a
rear puncture can take a while to fix...

Various gadgets exist which provide quick release-ability for the drum
brake cable. One of the neatest used a bit of spoke hooked into a
nut, or something. I'll try and remember whos bike it was and get a
photo of it.

It in and of itself doesn't take that long - it's just the combination of
brake, drivetrain, it being a heavy wheel, 35mm tyres taking three times
as long to blow up...
