    I couldn't help but notice that with roughly $20000 worth of state of the art aerodynamics, riders
    like Roberto Heras race a time trial with a fishnet bandage clawing the wind over (in his case) his
    right elbow.

    Why do you think that a fishnet bandage is less aerodynamic?

    I know it could theoretically actually help, but I assume no thought is given to its aerodynamic
    properties, and therefore it's most likely that it hurts.

    That's what I was thinking. Glob some ointment on the windward side or something.

    Yes, ultimately it was probably a bit less aerodynamic, but since Heras is not trying to win either
    GC or the stage, he's not going all out anyway so it shouldn't be a big deal.
