You really have to be careful when the MEDIA reports studies on nutrition. Or anything for that
matter. For an example, you have this reporter saying it's "a okay" to eat your fats and all that
you want because of one little study by one doctor. Give me a break! A reporter hardly ever gives
all the facts in his or her little article much less put things in context.
In an 80,000 person Harvard study, those who got 3% of trans fat from their daily caloric intake
(only 7g) increased their chances of heart disease by 50%.
Now...do you want fries with that?
The average person gets 40% of their calories (usually high too) from fat (most of it bad fat).
If fat was soooo great, we Americans should be getting slimmer and healthier. But we are not,
now are we?
HEALTHY DIET = 20-25g of fat daily + 30g of fiber

Do these people (ie. mainstream nutritional scientists) have any idea at all as to what is healthy
and what is not?
This speaks to the absolutely ridiculous state of the nutritional sciences.
