No trick. Freewheels take a LOT of force to remove, and the
Suntour 2 prong is just about the worst type to remove. My
normal method is to attach the tool to the axle with the nut
or quick release, put a big wrench on the tool. If the rim
is valuable, I make sure it's got an inflated tire. I hold
the wheel against the ground, and stomp hard on the wrench
with my heel.
Note: I'm not necessarily recommending my method for your
wheel, I deal with regular steel spoked wheels. I'm
mainly illustrating that even under normal
circumstances, you're going to have to get agressive.
