  1. Simple question for Stronglight Speedlight triple owners. Is the granny
    ring mounted direct to the crank, or bolted to the middle ring? The best
    picture I've been able to find suggests the latter:

    If the latter, are the rears of the spider arms machined flat where the
    adapter (middle) ring mounts like the Dura Ace triple, or does the ring
    have cutouts to clear the locating lugs?

    I've never seen a Stronglight triplizer with cutouts, and to have them
    on the speedlight the extensions would have to be a lot wider than they
    are

    Right.

    I had a look at one in the flesh today (in fact, I bought it). It is as we
    guessed - the granny mounted to the middle ring, and the rear faces of the
    spider arms machined flat.
