Simple question for Stronglight Speedlight triple owners. Is the granny ring mounted direct to the crank, or bolted to the middle ring? The best picture I've been able to find suggests the latter:
If the latter, are the rears of the spider arms machined flat where the adapter (middle) ring mounts like the Dura Ace triple, or does the ring have cutouts to clear the locating lugs?

I've never seen a Stronglight triplizer with cutouts, and to have them on the speedlight the extensions would have to be a lot wider than they are -- --- Marten Gerritsen

Right.
I had a look at one in the flesh today (in fact, I bought it). It is as we guessed - the granny mounted to the middle ring, and the rear faces of the spider arms machined flat.
