  1. I know somewhere I once found standards on how much of a given type of
    exercise a guy in good condition should be able to do. For example, dips
    vs. age, or pullups vs. age. Might have been a Marine training manual but
    now I'm not sure where I saw it. Does anybody know?

    I think most of the branches of the armed forces have a test and a list
    of what you have to do to score 100 on that test. I recall a 2-mile run
    in 13:00 being one of the things.

    I was in the Air Force and they obviously have looser standards than Jar
    Heads. I remember we only had to weigh-in every year. If you were
    overweight, they just put you in the "fat man" program for the next year. It
    is really pathetic. The USAF is known for their brains, not brawn.

    Wrong, small dudette. Air Force pilots are quite smart. You couldn't fly
    a plane if your life depended on it. LOL
