  1. I find it that lately, I feel towards eating way more meat than I was
used to. I started wanting it yesterday. Today I spent 6 hours digging
dirt (making a garden) and then 2 hours walking. At the end I was
ravenous for some grilled meat, so I bought a couple of pieces at our
local grocery store (on the way back from my walk), grilled it and me
and my wife ate it. I ate lots, like 1/2 lbs of that great filet
mignon that I wanted to buy.

I used to not even like beef that much. These days I want to eat red
meat and eggs. All within my daily total food/calorie limit (I am
losing weight and I lost 45 lbs to date by walking and eating less and
no junk food/sugar), I just replace other things with meat. I guess it
could be related to my recent measurement of cholesterol with
cholestrak, which gave me a value of 128 (very low). Not sure what to
    make of it.

By the way, we bought a very nice electric grilling machine at
walmart, for $34. It is much better than a gas grill, much cleaner and
there is no burning at the bottom etc.

When did you get the new grill?

I get cravings once in a while, usually they increase after I satisfy them
then I get sick of whatever it is and they go away.

Besides what Chris said, it has a good bit of potassium. No matter, as long
as you can fit in the 600kcal, 50G fat into your diet, you're fine. After
6 hours digging, I'd say you made up the for the cals.

Actually, there was very little fat in that meat.

    Bill

YES, please tell us more about your new grill!
what brand, and how does it clean up?

  6. it is a electric grill by HamiltonBeach from walmart.

$34. It has a nonstick surface. It is relatively large as far as
electric grills go. No burned meat, no burning in general, no soot
    etc.

  7. I think you missed my point. WHEN did you buy it. This could correlate to your
    recent cravings for meat.
