This article is a dense collection of lies and half-truths. So is the rest of his website, where he promises "natural" cures for all disease, but provides only invective against medical doctors, and offers to sell "manuals" describing his "therapies."
My favorite [censored] quote from him is, "Dr. Matthias Rath worked with Linus Pauling in the discovery of the root cause of heart disease." This is stated repeatedly on the website, usually with a mention of Pauling's Nobel prizes (which were NOT in nutritional or cardiology related fields). What's silly about this is that there are MANY diseases of the heart, all with different "roots." Rath and Pauling made no such discovery. Had they accomplished this impossible feat, I'm sure another Nobel would have been forthcoming.

Do you really think that these could be lumped together under any "unified theory" and treated all the same with vitamin C? They can't. That's my point.

Goat milk IS homogenized, in a sense. All homogenization does is break up the fat globules to a size small enough that they can remain in suspension in the milk. Goat milk-fat molecules are already small enough to remain suspended. Homogenization makes no change whatsoever in the nutrition or wholesomeness of cow's milk. Pasteurization makes a big difference in its wholesomeness, though, preventing the transmission of some really nasty diseases such as tuberculosis and brucelosis (called undulant fever in humans).

Actually if you want to be informed about how CODEX is being used as a tool for the pharma cartels visit the Dr Rath site, as for your other comment, I think it's all wind, you have not demonstrated anything but being pedantic about the phrase 'heart disease' out of context! If you want to put up a site I'll take a pedantic look and drive you mad running around in circles.... Anth

Why do you do this Anth? Most of the time I mistake you for a sane person. And then you go and post this link.....
BTW, three different root causes of heart disease are: 1, diet - too many calories 2, smoking 3, genetic
Prevention of the first two are well known and promoted by every doctor and government health department. Healthy diet and give up smoking. These two measures will not make too much money for the pharmacutical companies.
I am sure there are other root causes too.

For me there's one cause of atherosclerosis, which is lack of essential nutrients to repair the lesions in the artery. I can assure you I am very sane. Anth

Dr Rath documented reversal of plaques in people with heart disease (atherosclerosis) The size of the plaques initially were larger than the discrete sampling interval he used in the scans, so it is unlikely that you would miss them with subsequent scans unless they got smaller. After the cocktail, at the end of the study (using half the sample interval as initially) he had people which didn't show any plaques - whereas initially they had plaques - thus proved reversal of plaques in the patient. (Also the small study took diet into account) Dr Rath has also documented complete prevention of similar plaques in guinni pigs (who don't produce vitamin c in their liver), in those taking the vitamin cocktail. He took his pilot study and research to the 'drug cartels big pharma' or whatever you want to call it, and they ignored his work because there's no money in it. CODEX is being used as a tool for 'big pharma' to block supplements, as a measure to increase their profits (they make a lot more money out of drugs than they do pushing vitamins) That is tantamount to genocide in my books. Anyone defending these guys is either stupid or has dubious motives in my books. Hope this answers your questions and any points raised. Anth

Well, for starters your view is based upon an undereducated, unscientific, medically invalid viewpoint. Your sole justification is your belief and need to believe. Sadly, this is your only method of self-empowerment. Education, not denial, is the way to the truth.

Likely because the margins on vitamin sales are so large, and that the 'free books' are expensed as advertising.

To be more specific, it's based on the logical fallacy of affirming the consequent:
If A then B Observe B Therefore, A
which in this case leads to an ideology that says that every effect must have one and only one cause. This leads to the specific error of assuming that if poor nutrition *can* lead to atherosclerosis, than any case of atherosclerosis *must* be due to poor nutrition.
