Pretty cool. That CNC tube bending machine was very interesting.

So that's where Mark Hickey gets his frames made :p

Perhaps this WalMart bike is made on that production line?

    Link to cheap bicycle below.

Just missed by a thousand miles or so... ;-)

If a factory tooled up to build ti bikes like that, they could
probably supply the world demand in a couple days. Yikes.

Very cool video though - I particularly like the wheel building
machine. FWIW, lots of "real wheels" are built that way, but
    hand-tweaked after.

The wheelbuiding bots are something. No surprise that mass-manufactured
"real" wheels are built that way. Can't think of a prob unless the prep
machines are set to a torque that would allow spoke twist. On a Walmart
bike (the sticker price of which is probably represented by probably
10-20% of the manufacturing cost), obviously not a big concern.

I'd love to have seen a clip like this of the old Chicago Schwinn
    plant's electro-forging.

That's easily the safest bet for a walgoose because there are fewer
moving parts. It's really hard to screw up a singlespeed cruiser.
Even so, a deft and dilligent eBayer can find a classic for around the
same price or less. I just can't stand those [censored] coaster brake
hubs. They're nothing like a Bendix, Morrow, New Departure, or even
    Sachs. Older is definitely better.

$38 + a few parts, pait and elbow grease:

I learned to ride on a bike that was similar to the one pictured -- a
    single
speed with coaster brake, way too big for me, but rusty and neglected
    instead of freshly painted.
