    Yes, pleasant walk in the sun this morning from Buriton, Hampshire - still
    in shorts too. Headed off south skirting the eastern side of Queen
    Elizabeth Country Park to arrive at Chalton village. Very small village but
    a great thatched pub that does brilliant food. Turned eastwards and
    continued over into West Harting Down Wood, then south and easterly to join
    the South Downs Way above South Harting. A 2.5 mile walk west along the
    South Downs Way brought Clare and I back to the car.

    Clouded over about 2/3rds of the way through the walk, though managed to
    survive the rain. Looks like its about to pour looking out of the window.
    Won't get in my beer as I watch the fireworks from the bar of our local the
    Forest of Bere eh! eh!.

    Excitement builds too as a Lake District 4 day weekend coming up - Great
    Gable Remembrance Day weekend.

    to find it hanging over the fence with one of the poles through the
    neighbours roof !
