Camp like I did on my 16th birthday in Feb '76 !!

Was there with school and the produced me a cake 🙂

My boots also froze together ! Had to thaw them over the Primus !

Wouldn't do it now, older, wiser, stiffer !!

There are many good B & Bs. I can recommend a *** remote farmhouse in the
centre of the Beacons: Maeswalter, Heol Senni, Nr. Brecon, Powys LD3 8SU
    Tel: 01874 636629 http://www.maeswalter.co.uk/

  4. Make sure you don't go the the B+B that recently featured in the news for
having been busted by the police for wiring up all its rooms with hidden
    cameras!...

I'd thoroughly recommend this one part way up the pass between Brecon and
    Merthyr Tid
    http://www.carnofarmbrecon.co.uk/

Able to walk straight onto the slopes of Pen y Fan - so no parking
    problems

Excellent pub n grub (The Tair Bull - Libanus) 10 mins drive away
    Brecon about 15 mins away

    B&B or self catering available

Lots of peace n quiet. Lots of wildlife around

week with a pub within walking distance for a drink and a maybe a meal at
the end of the day, cottage caravan that sort of thing.
