OMG! It's slipped another millibar to 1020 here in the last hour....

The temperature dropped to minus 0.6°C, but now it's back at 1.1°C at
    23:26.

welcome back. exile over for another spell I take it?

Apparently. I really must have more exiles and less spells in future.

BTW, what the weather like in your neck of the woods for this weekend,
as every net forecast I look at seems to give a different story. My
oft postponed trip around Pen y Fan might be back on again.

Well there's a frontal system heading in from the NW but winds down here
are blowing from the south so are helping to push the front away.
Apparently it will fizzle out over the next day or so, with perhaps a
few splats in North Wales but nothing in the south, so they say. The
reckon high pressure will take over on the weekend with the front
becoming a weak affair, crossing central Britain, so it looks like the
south may have the best weather, a mixture of cloud and sunny spells.

The BBC summary today said; "Dry, some sunshine, patchy fog and frost"

That will do me. Just packing the sack as I type.
