Over the top of the first climb Bettini is away with 2 others. 6min.30 away from peleton so im goin for him.

I am going for Richard Virenque in an upset. If not, Garzelli or Simoni will try for a win to catch up.

i reckon itll be armstrong. i expected him to chase down virenque towards the end to keep the yellow jersey within postal - but could understand why he doesnt want it because of the extra work needed to defend it at this stage in the race.
i do wonder though if armstrong was more injured in the stage 1 crash than hes letting on? i was reading levi leipheimers diary on bike.com and he was riding next to armstrong when the crash happened and leipheimer is out the race. armstrongs bike was also mangled in the crash
