Any reasons NOT to get this?
Does Giant make anythig like this? I'm looking into it now.

US $500, not bad. Although, a part of SS fun is building or converting

My '01 RH came with Tektro. They've taken a licking (the levers have lost
great amounts of anodizing) and been great.

The geometry is more for jumping than xc style riding, but if that's what
you like it might be good.
I also wouldn't buy a new SS with a tensioner, it just seems like you
shouldn't have to with a new bike. Those are more for retrofitting IMO.

I got a better bike for similar money going for a used Surly. Love it.

My LBS has those. I started eyeing one with lust until I picked it up.
Expecting to find this nice, light bike, I realized it was heavier
than my reared FS bike. :-(
Seems to me to defeat a lot of the purpose for going SS.

That bike is just a run of the mill Hardrock frame, they removed the
derailluers and put a conversion kit on it. If you want to run a conversion
kit on a bike, might as well buy the frame that you really desire and
convert/build it up yourself. Its cheaper that way.

(sorry for the late post, but I found this old saved one and didn't want to waste it)

Yes welcome! Get an SS, you'll LOVE it!

Rode my Surly 1x1 this am and it was too sweet.
