    I'm hoping someone here can double check my calculations or
    direct me to where I can.

    36h Shimano XT (sh-fm750) rear hub 9 speed 36h Mavic
    X517 Laced 3x.

    I came up with 261 (left) and 259 (right). Will that work?

    I punched in the data into Damon Rinard spoke calculator and
    came up with: 260.7 left side, 259.3 right side.

    Spocalc gives 257mm (left) 256mm (right)
    sheldonbrown.comspocalc.htm 261 and 259
    are the results I get for 32 spoke.

    You're right Jeff. Just re ran the numbers again and punched
    in 36 for spoke holes. 257mm (left) 256mm (right)

    Which XT rear hub were you using?
    If you are using the non-disc XT hub those 257 and 256 mm spokes will be too short.
    The 261 left and 259 right will be good ... in my calculations and selection of the non-disc 36 spoke X517 rimmed 3X wheel.

    OK Jeff, I read that part.
    I used the same calulator you did. I used the 36 spoke FH-M750 rear hub and X517 rim. I think your application of the caluculator was in error. I think that you and Kenny Lee should look again.
