Splenda is a chemical. This is friendlier to your body........
Stevia Extract is a sweetener from the small (Stevia rebaudiana) plants
native to Paraguay and Brazil. It was identified in 1887 by Antonio Bertoni,
a South American scientist, who learned of the herb from the Guarani
Paraguayan Indians. Stevia was known locally as Caa’-ehe or Kaa’he-e which
means “sweet herb” or “honeyleaf”. Two French chem-ists named Bridel and
Lavielle began to unravel the secret of Stevia in 1931 with exploratory
extraction work on Stevia rebaudiana leaves. Their research yielded a pure,
white crystalline compound they named “stevioside.” They found this
substance to be 100-300 times sweeter than table sugar and without toxic
side effects in laboratory animals. Dozens of studies have shown Stevia to
be a safe supplement for the human diet, and it is currently used
extensively throughout the world in a variety of ways. Since far less needs
to be used, Stevia extract will not affect blood sugar levels nearly as much
as sucrose (table sugar) and should be useful as a sweetener for those with
diabetes. Stevia may be used in baking and cooking.

Stevia is a chemical, too! So is sugar.
Splenda is NOT chemically bad...and many use it. I prefer HONEY, the
worlds oldest
and most PERFECT food. It does NOT have SUCROSE at all and the ttotal
NATURAL Glucose ( with a small amount of fructose is less than 22
percent of the whole. Honey is also up to53 percent average PROTEIN!!
( 51% minimum) WHY try to beat perfection?? LOL! B-0b1

Honey is good stuff, but it's not "perfect." It does not substitute well for
sugar in many baking recipes, for example. And it should NEVER! be fed to
infants.

Honey is not "up to 53 percent average PROTEIN"
For starters, "up to" implies that the number given is the
maximum possible, not the average.
Honey has ZERO protein: it's a sucrose solution produced by
bflowers that is digested and regurgitated by bees as an energy
source for their offspring.

When businesses invoke the "protection of consumers," it's a lot like
politicians invoking morality and children - grab your wallet and/or
your kid and run for your life.

I'm trying to decide whether this "B-0b1" is incredibly stupid or a
troll. For example, that claim that honey is 53% protein. Honey
contains no protein (or fat) at all; it's entirely carbohydrates.

He's showed up on m.h.a occasionally also. He's as far off the beam
as Scudamore (who just oozed back on yesterday, I believe -- do you
suppose they spend time in adjacent rubber rooms when they're not
filling the newsgroups with drivel?).

For the same reason he gave you migraine headaches and peripheral neuropathy.

A rare fabulous musical masterpiece.
Not to be confused with 'Hotel California".
That is all,
