  1. Hi there everyone

    Hope somone out there can help;

    I am looking to purchase a spinning bike but have not had any luck finding a shop that actually sells what I am looking for in the Mississauga area.

    I am interested in the Schwinn IC Pro or Schwinn IC Elite?

    Should I be looking at other makes?

    Thanks in advance

  2. I would expect that any authorized dealer of the bike that you are interested in should be able to special order the bike for you.

    For example Dornellas in Scarborough was willing to order the Giant spinning bike for me.

  3. I've looked on ebay when I was interested in one too. They're too expensive so I just bought a trainer.

  4. Thanks - Just settled on a Scwinn IC PRO 🙂 getting it next week.

    Yes - the Schwinn spin bike really sucks! The friction brake is lousey, the disks aren't true either horizontally or vertically, so your resistance is never "right" and they dip the bars in rubber, so there is a very uncomfortable ridge right where you need to put your hands!

    Life Fitness makes an Okay spin bike, the lemond is Okay as well - there are tons of Spin bikes out there - but they aen't all created equal!

  6. Sorry I was too late for this. I would never buya Schwinn IC bike. They are not relaibel and maintenance prone. I am VERY partial to Star Trac Spinners (Johnny G's). I teach 6 classes a week. 2 on a Schwinn.. the rest on Star Tracs.. no comparison in ride..

    Good luck with the Schwinn, though.

  7. Thanks for all the opinions
