  1. What do people think of these? Thinking of getting a couple for the nights I either can't go to spinning class or get out for a ride.... I'm not very hard on myself on the trainer... so I figured it would be a good thing...

I love mine. I have the one no slackers been using it for quite some time never gets boring. With Troy Jacobs pushing you on you have the motivation to keep going and pushing yourself. I would recommend them highly.

  3. I love mine too, kind of like a prisoner comes to love his captor. They are well worth the investment. I have the Uphill Grind, the TT Special, & the Sweating Buckets (for the easy days - yeah right) and these 3 give a nice variation of effort. SM

  4. Bought 'Suffer-o-rama' and lemme tell you... it kicks your ass SOOOOOO hard. I made it about 20 minutes into the 45 min dvd before I had to call it quits... But now I have a goal of being able to finish it.. 😉

  5. Spinervals are the best. I rotate between 5 different DVD's and train indoor 3 days a week. I've done this continuous since last October and I notice a HUGH difference in my cycling. Plus with running 3-4 miles on the off days, I've lost A LOT of weight.

I think the hardest that I have is Have Mercy .... At 2hrs, usually leave that for the weekends, but best value. Big Gear Strength, Muscle breakdown, and Suffer are great strength vids. I hate - No Slackers Allowed - I think it's very punishing - Coach Troy yells - "You Ain't Working Hard Enough - PAL!!"

Very much worth the money for staying in shape both on and off season.

    Good Luck

  6. You know I've been thinking of getting the vids and I'm glad I saw this thread. But as a racer which do you guys think would be the best one. Pick 2 out of 3. Thanks.

  7. Firegooroo,
That's a tough question - it depends on the kind of training that you feel you need. All of them are great tools for getting a hard 45 minutes+ on the bike.

I would say No Slackers, Big Gear Strength, and Suffer-O-Rama : mainly because I use those the most.. I think I'll eventually get the Time Trial and the Uphill Grind dvd's at some point for next years off season.

Here's a recent review of the Recovery and Technique dvd from cyclingnews.com:

  8. Thanks for the info I believe I might be getting the suffer O-rama dvd and start with that and kind of work my way through a couple of others.

If you have any suggestions as to which one to get first I would really appreciate it.

  9. Anyone have suggestions for the online place with the best price on these?

Try www.all3sports.com. I just bought Total Time Trial for $25. Shipping is reasonable.

Performance has them for around $22 - on sale - probably another sale soon.

Otherwise - try Ebay....... at a last resort.
