  1. Hi All,

I'm about to get me a new bike, I have a budget of £250 (Which I bet most of
you in here will laugh at!)

A friend has suggested a Specialized HardRock.

    What say you? 🙂

    Simon.

That's what, around $450? Not sure how much more expensive they are in
the UK, but in the US, that will almost get you a Hardrock Disc. Don't
worry about others worrying about what you're riding, I've seen people
on some pretty high-end bikes being outridden by guys on much lesser
rides. As some of the lower spec parts wear out, you can replace them
over time with better pieces as your budget permits.

Nice entry bike. One of the best riders I know is on one, believe it or
not. Craig from AMB-ID 03 or 04. When his GF finally died a few of
us took up a collection and got him a Hardrock, and he proves once
again, that in most circumstances, it's the rider, not the bike.

A good solid reliable bike. Have a look round the online etailors evans,
leisure lakes etc. for a good deal on a 04 or 05 model.

I've had a HardRock since 2000-ish. Great bike - see no reason to change.

That seals it as being a true barney bike.
