How many of you devout Specialized Diverge Base E5 enthusiasts have actually managed to push this bike to its limits, or are you all just posing with your gravel bikes, never truly understanding the capabilities of the machine youre riding. Do any of you have any real-world experience with the bike, riding actual trails or long distances, not just pedaling around your neighborhood and calling it a day, and if so, how has the bike held up.
And dont even get me started on the whole gravel genre, is this bike truly designed for off-road capabilities, or is it just a marketing ploy to sell road bikes to people who want to feel like theyre riding something a bit more exotic than a traditional road bike.
Ive seen a lot of people posting about their Diverge Base E5s with super-low mileage, and I have to wonder, are these bikes actually as durable as theyre made out to be, or are they just low-mileage because the owners are all afraid to take them off the pavement.
Whats the point of having a bike thats designed to handle rough terrain if youre never actually going to ride it on rough terrain. Im not looking for your weekend warrior stories about how you rode 10 miles of dirt road and thought it was the most grueling ride of your life, Im looking for real-world feedback from people who have actually put this bike through its paces.
Can anyone whos actually spent some time on this bike give me some honest feedback about its capabilities, or are we all just drinking the Specialized Kool-Aid around here.
