That may be true, I don't know. All I know is that mine lasted one or two rides and was replaced
under warranty. The new one also lasted another ride only. That was replaced with a King, still
going strong ride after ride.

Must be some killer "freeriding" you do if your deore hub has lasted a year.

I quess thats why people use the disclaimer "YMMV" But I do understand now by the above post what
your definition of "freeride" is.

Well actually I don't do anything close to "freeriding" or downhilling and it didn't hold up for me.

you don't the Sun DS2-XC/Shimano Deore wheels at Jensonusa.com are are an excellent set of wheel for
only $89. I like them better than my XT/Mavic 223's.

Hell yea...and it's not freeriding, it's "black diamond" riding. Don't you pay attention to the
printed pap in regards to this.
Dave (call it what you like, but the deore hub has held up for me...so far)
