I think this be the much wiser choice for Lance. Eventhough he might be a past his top days due to age, he can prove that he can win either one of the other 2 Grand Tours, which is the main criticism of him, eventhough I believe he finished in the Top 10 of it in 98 I believe when he was making his comeback. PLus, obviously this would keep him out of France where all the controversy is.

Maybe he'll do the Vuelta if Basso/Riis pay him NOT to ride the Giro.
But how great would it be to kick Simoni's ass all over the Mortirolo.

But think..TdF is far the biggest and most important race in the world. It`s the same with the win. If you can win TdF, you won`t go Giro or Vuelta insted of it, but you will go to TdF of course. It`s the same if you have a lot of money you won`t buy Hyundai coupe instead of Porsche.
I think if he really thinks about comeback he thinks only about TdF. In my opinion, his news that he thinks about Giro and Vuelta is just to provoke the French.

Yes, but this time he could do the Giro or Vuelta instead as an offense to the French who have attacked him so much. It would be like saying: "I am comming back but not to entertain you". We will see. But I think all this LA return to cycling is just a fake. I don't think he is really comming back.

Me too, I think he's having fun playing with the media - knowing how to say something that'll make the headlines and watch all the papers jump on his quotes. I think he'll enjoy being an assistant director and helping with training and race strategy.
