If you are a plant, then soy is the proper balance...... ;-)
It IS complete AFAIK but the ratio of amino acids is not optimal.
But it's better than nothing if you cannot tolerate whey.
Please note tho, this is a personal opinion.
I make my best strength and muscle gains eating meat, not drinking
protein shakes.
And soy makes me fart.
Quality (not cheap) Whey never did and neither does real food.
But I also live low carb.
