Sources for 110 bcd doubles?

If an older crank is still acceptable look for a Sugino VP.

FSA(carbon and aluminum), Ritchey, Stronglight and TA are all producing 110mm BCD doubles for 2004.

The Ritcheys that R-dale had are being reintroduced in 2004.

If somone is into THE older crank, I have a Sugino Mity Tour x 170 for sale in LN condition. The Q
factor is about 150. It's a $125 thing.

Yes, we're disappointed that Sugino now only offers their
110/74 XD crank. But it's cheap and the 74mm protrusions are easily removed.

My one upset with this is that the Q factor is higher than for my previous (130mm BCD) cranks. Since
I have stripped BB threads I cannot easily fit a shorter BB spindle.

I believe you, but why bother? You'd have a hard time getting them in far enough to foul the
chainstay (I would say "impossible" but with these silly modern bendy chainstays, who knows?) and if
you decide later to ride some really hideous hills you just have to shell for a granny ring and away
you go - if you fitted a triple fder you could even make this change mid-tour if necessary.

I left the protrusions on mine intact.

Yes, that works fine of course.

I'm usually not one for overdoing things, but if one is so inclined, the nubs come off in ten
minutes with a hacksaw, file to finish. Chainline is great with a 107-108 as a double.
