  1. Now that the heat is on I want to wear my summer sandals, but my feet have ugly
bunions and callouses on them from my tight high heels all winter. Any other
gals experiencing this or have some advice on how to rid myself of these
    painful problems ?
I'm embarrassed to take my slippers off by the pool. Even walking hurts !
Anyone else with bad feet ?

So why do you wear them?

Wear sensible shoes and visit a podiatrist.

I am not a gal but after working on feet for twenty eight years as a
reflexologist I have a few suggestions.

    1) Limit high heel use. I know it is not an easy addiction to overcome
but the biomechanical damage is considerable. The higher the heel the
more the calluses and pressure on your bunions.

    2) If you have decide to ignore suggestion number one then at least do
something to compensate for heels. Calf stretches help loosen the calf
muscles it also lessens the stress on the muscles on the bottom of the
foot. There are many different ways to stretch the calf muscles.

    3) Get yourself a simple foot roller. Pick a time in your day like
watching tv or reading a book to roll the bottom of your feet. It
loosens the tight muscles and you get some of the benefits of
    reflexology.

    4) Rub your feet. Take you feet in hand and bur those calluses and
bunions. These are stress cues to us as areas that need attention.
They are there for a reason. They are trying to adapt to the stresses
    placed on the foot.

    5) If the shoe fits wear it. Tight shoes may look slimming but they
also contribute to calluses (and headaches, neck aches, low back
problems ...). They cut off circulation and actual cause the feet to
    swell more.

    6) See a reflexologist to ease your stress. It helps.

    Hope this helps.
    All the best,

I did just that, my brother is a retired podiatrist, he know has a shoe store.
We just brought a brand called ShoeSpring, that's because the shoe has a
wavespring tm technology at the heel and also the forefoot of the shoe. The
unique springs deflect and dispense impact forces and return propulsive energy
to the foot with every step. http://www.shoespring.com

I would like to get a hold of the person who invented high heels.
