  1. A mushroom walks into a bar and orders a drink.

The bartender says "get outta here, we don't serve your kind"

"why not?" says the mushroom, "I'm a fungi"

We now return to their usualy drab and useless programming.

Sandra Lee walks into a bar.

A mushroom approaches and offers to buy her a drink.

She took one look at his woodear and said, "I don't usually accept
    drinks from your kind!".

"Why not?" says the mushroom, "I'm a fungi."

The morel of the story is, the world may be your oyster, but life is
too short to stuff a mushroom.

That would be funny if the grammar were correct.
The singular is fungus, not fungi. And fungi is
    pronounced "fun-jee" (alternate pronunciation
    "fung-ee"😉 not "fun-guy". Well, actually, I guess
it wouldn't be funny even if the grammar were
correct as then it would not make any sense. Oh,
    well. Life's a [censored] when you're a strict grammarian.

I suspect it will be the best we can expect from FoodTV for quite some time
    to come.

Thanks Kate, I was wondering why this was supposed to be funny or even
make sense. It hadn't occurred to me to mispronounce fungi although I'd
    realised the grammar was wrong.

Well you get it anyway. You're probably a fungi to hang out with even
    though there isn't mushroom here

Let's hit on that all chick at the bar. She look's like she's all gal, and
I'm takin a liken to her.

I'll be here all week folks!
