Not to be critical, but this shows both how poorly some cyclists fight
and the stupidity of swinging for the head. Heads move too much (Yeah,
I know, mine didn't move enough...)
And then you connect when his mouth is opening and your knuckles are
still swollen from self-inflicted bite wounds weeks after all of his
injuries are healed. At least it keeps you from being stupid for a
while, 'cause you can't make a fist very easily. Makes shaking hands
an adventure as well.
Not enough kicking to be really seriously either. Just critiquing.

They are Leonardo Sierra (Carrera) and Ramón González Arrieta (Banesto).
This took place in a minor Spanish stage race, in 1994-5, don't remember
what race it exactly was nor the year.

These guys should watch soccer. Then they'd know head-butting works
better.

According to google, it was the 1995 Vuelta a España.

A take off of Don Rickles:
I went to a boxing match and a bicycle race broke out in the stands.

Me too, I was thinking juniors or some such. It's kinda embarassing. I mean ya
take some guff about wearing goofy helmets and lycra and shaved legs, but you
know that cycling is a manly sport, weather hardened men competing against each
other and the elements and then this little sissy fuss breaks out.
A Kids in the Hall skit is harder hitting.

Silly but under stress people do and say things that they wouldn't normally
do.
Of course then there's Joe King who will do and say absolutely anything.
Just ask his boyfriend.

off topic, ever notice that in the movies, when there's a fight scene,
you never really see anyone go OW! SH%T! or show any sign of pain after
punching someone in the mouth? or puke after being hit in the stomach?
