  1. A few questions for you Boffs...

    1. If you squeeze a tube hard enough, you will find Silvery powder coming out of the valve...

What is this, and why is it in the tube in the first place?

    2. My rims 'pit' very badly. (They lose shards of Metal all the time, which end up in my blocks.)...

    Why?

    Thanks...

  2. no idea.... and no idea.

    #2 - cheap rims?

    sorry.

  3. *choke*

    Tx for the reply...

As for cheap rims... *gasp* *choke*

Hehe, they are Bontrager Jones. Good stuff.

  4. The powder is meant to make sure the tube can inflate(parts don't kit together). Some(very limited number) tubulars have glue in them to stop leaks but this probably won't be the case here.

Rim's can be cheap low quality rims or wrong brakepads for your rims. Make sure brake pads are for the matterial your rim is made out.

  5. Thanks for the tube info...

As for the blocks, they are correct.

Alu/Alloy blocks for the Bontragers. Blocks cannot possibly take shards out of the rim.
