Held the Tufts Criterium this past saturday, so I got to try out the new
camera. Was playing around with it some, so some shots came out decent,
some came out... not so much so. Still experimenting!
I know I should have used a flash, but there were more than enough crashes
with me distracting racers in corners with a blinding flash. I personally
witnessed at least 10 crashes, and we sent 2 kids to the hospital. We had 5
major crashes in the first race of the day, USCF3/4/5!!!! Unfortunately I
couldn't take crash pictures because I was marshalling, so I had to run over
and direct racers around, check the downed riders, etc. etc. etc.
My personal fave is the USCF rider (ECV jersey, 2nd picture IIRC) - he was
going at least 20mph around this curve, I just got really damn lucky on the
timing!
