Im after some help, ive only ever ridden rigid bikes and that was about 7 years ive steered clear or full suspension mainly because of my weight and size, 6ft 4" and 350lb's. However ive seen a dual suspension bike on ebay that interests me. It's a 2004 Fastrax Coyote F3 DH and has 151 mm Meeks Full Carbon front fork and a Fox Vanilla Down Hill Coil rear shock. I emailed the seller and asked about whether the shocks could be uprated with heavier springs to account for my mass, got a reply saying the rear shock could be replaced for a Maniout SPV Coil 6 ways which would work with my weight, is this correct? the bike is in the states, im in the uk so its not as if i can jump on it to try it out. I asked whether the front shock would be ok, and hes told me its a very strong fork and would hold me + 2 more of me. Ive never heard of a Meeks Fork, so dont know whether im being told any pork pies so someone can make a quick sale. As you can see i need help, help away 😄

Are you a down-hiller? If not, this bike will be all wrong for you IMO.

At your size you need to buy something you can test for fit first.

Have you checked with your local bike shop? They can probably help you.
Granted I no nothing about that bike, but when I saw carbon forks and your weight I thought no way. I am 220 and stay away from carbon parts.
