Whats the point of even having a battery charging indicator on an e-bike if its just going to be wildly inaccurate? Im seeing a ton of posts from people who claim to have solved the issue by simply recalibrating their battery or updating their firmware, but lets be real, those are just band-aid solutions. The real problem is that e-bike manufacturers are prioritizing profit over performance and accuracy.
Can anyone explain to me why its so hard to get a simple battery charging indicator that actually works? Is it really too much to ask for a system that can accurately display the remaining charge level, rather than just giving a vague low or high reading? And whats with the random fluctuations in charge level readings? Is that just a result of poor quality control or is there something more sinister at play?
Im not buying the whole its just a software issue excuse. If thats the case, then why cant the manufacturers just release a fix? And dont even get me started on the so-called experts who claim that you can just use a third-party app to get a more accurate reading. Have you ever tried to use one of those apps? Theyre clunky, unreliable, and often require you to jailbreak your device.
Its time for e-bike manufacturers to step up their game and provide a reliable, accurate battery charging indicator that doesnt require a degree in electrical engineering to use. Anything less is just unacceptable. So, Ill ask again: whats the real reason why e-bike battery charging indicators are so bad? Is it a hardware issue, a software issue, or just plain old incompetence?
