  1. This is a radical thought - but I think I have the solution to the War on Terror.

[censored] with long delays at airports in the USA ?
[censored] with the polarisation in opinions ?
[censored] with BinLaden being free - taxes rocketing to fund wars in country's with no WMD etc ?
All because of the war on terror.

    Here's the solution.

Binladen and Co are here to stay.
Three years after hunting him in every knook and cranny, he can appear/disappear at will.
Bounties/rewards mean nothing : his people are loyal and he's well protected.
Even if the USA does manage to get him - he has already lit the fuse and
    radicalised major parts of Islam.
Logistically, logic says that he has a huge groundswell of support in the Islamic world.

So what is the core issue to all of this dispute between BinLaden and the
    USA ?
    It's Israel.

The USA needs to look at the War on Terrorism, in a pragmatic way.
Al Qaeda isn't going to go away - in all likelihood.
It seems that they can operate with impunity - due to massive support throughout the Islamic world.

How many Israeli/Jews are there in Israel ?
    10 million ? 20 million ?
How many Muslims are there ?
    1 billion ?

The numbers game suggest that the USA ought to be trying to engage BinLaden & Co, rather than antagonising him over 20 million people in a country, the size a small US State surrounded by unhappy Arab states.

The USA ought to widedraw support for Israel - make it a phased withdrawal.

To placate Israel - adopt the Balfour Declaration and look at transplanting those 20 million Israeli/Jews to Argentina, for example.
Ok, there will be hue and cry - there'll be chants of racism and bigotry.

    The numbers game doesn't lie.
    Think about it.

  2. Limerickman: Thank goodness we here in the US now have your great mind working to solve our terror problem now. Since you apparently solved the troubles you Irish had between the prods and the finians. Which ones were the terrorists again the IRA/PIRA and their friends or the UVF/UVA and theirs.
Did you solve that problem by moving people out of their country if so who and to where?

The only problem w/ that is that jerusalem (?) is in that area of the world. They will be fighting over that piece of ground until the end of the world. It's what they live for- the fundamentalist fanatics. A small, tactical nuke would solve the incessant grumbling. Issue an evacuation order, wait a reasonable amt. of time, then nuke jerusalem. After that, they will "gather thier toys & go home". I'm tired of billions of our (including "my"😉 tax dollars going to defend a small piece of real estate. It does'nt mean "jack-squat" to me. Cheap & effective, i say, flawless logic.

  4. Perhaps we should give this somewhat of a try. We could start by relocating 50,000 Jews to Ireland. When it's shown that the Jews outproduce 4 Million Irish, we can ship the Irish to their beloved anti-Ameriican kin in Syria and turn the emerald isle into something more useful than just the cheap labor dump that it is.

  5. Nope. The solution is to let them Terrorists get laid. That Muslim religion (or is it just their fanatic version of it) has them [censored] over there too sexualy repressed, what with women wearing burkhas and all. If they'd only let em get laid, they'd be concentrating on getting their next piece of p^ssy instead of planning terror bombings.

Kinda like all the idiots on these threads here in "Your Bloody Soap Box." I figure there's a WHOLE LOT of dudes here who ain't gettin' laid.

  6. LOL, Ruedy! Some people might get lucky if they would lay off the sauce.

I'm sure Israel has NOTHING to do with Arab Muslim ethnic cleansing in Sudan. Or Islamic-driven persecution in Nigeria. Or Muslim terrorists in Philipines. And Indonesia.

Dublin needs more mosques. First thing they would do would be destruction of the breweries.

  7. Once a bigot, always a bigot!

  8. Make Jerusalem an international city (all three monotheistic faiths have their respective claims on Jerusalem).
In other words - free access to everyone, owned by everyone.
Put it under the protectorate of the UN.

The Palestine situation is the core to Al Qaeda etc.
It's what will perpetuate this war indefinitely.
To ignore this is to live in a false reality.

Also the support of Israel by the US taxpayer accounts for $12 billion per year.
$12 billion : most of it goes to pay for military/security.
This accounts for 80% of Israel's GNP.

    Think about it.

    Relocate Israel.
Let them have their country, if they wish.
But locate it to another region.
Lift the tax burden on the US taxpayer - no threat to Israel, no need to fund them.
Palestine would be restored : the basis for Al Qaeda would be removed.

    Think about it.

    Different situation, I'm afraid.
    And slightly more complicated.

Those who are British in Northern Ireland, have been there since 17th century.
    Not 1948.

We need to solve this Middle East question - as time goes by people become
    more entrenched.

    "I" after "C" except after "L" or was "B" after "Q" except when it's a Sunday and
    it should be "R" ?

Message 115 on that other thread sums you up.

Are you referring to all the stereotyped, bigoted views of the Irish here? Other than that I see no bigotry.

I know Limerickman is not that ignorant to really believe this. Bin Laden could give a rats ass about the Palestinians. He uses them because he knows all the 'good' Muslims will rally around that. Most Arabs could care less about the Palestinians. They just hate Israel. If Bin Laden cared about the Palestinians, he would be conducting operations in Israel. Bin Laden is all about power. He knows which buttons to push in the Arab world. His goal is to create a fundamentalist Islamic state which he will control.

I believe that Palestine though is the rallying call for Al Qaeda.
    That's my point.

In the occupied territories, unemployment runs at 80%.
Young men and women growing up in a place that is over croweded and with no discernible way of improving ones life.

Two generations of people were forcibly displaced since 1948.
This location (Ocupied Territories) is rife for recruitment.
(Whether recruitment to become a terrorist is justified or not - is a separate
    argument.
The fact remains that these conditions - where there is no hope or
social justice - radicalises people who live in the occupied territories).

It's a fair point that you raise - why isn't BinLaden conducting operations in Israel ?
That is a very good point that you make, Biker.
    I hadn't considered that.

Underestimating the ignorance of Limerickman is always a mistake. He proves his ignorance with every posting.

If I was a militant against Israel, I would be deathly frightened of the Mossad.
I think Bin Laden is scared of the Mossad.

It makes perfect sense. Last i heard, syria's constitution called for the destruction of israel. This was brought to their attention &, as far as i know, the statement is still in there 😕 . That's only one country. It seems safe to say that all of the countries @ them would prefer israel not exist. Anybody heard of anything different. It's like the war on drug's, a black hole for US taxpayer $, We might as well load up pallets of $100 bills, have a forklift & push them into the potomac river  . The treasury building is not far from the potomac river anyway ([censored] Cheney can give you directions to it 🙄 ) We would get the same results & not have to pay the shipping & handling cost's of transferring US taxpayer money all over the world. The only utility that country has is it's proximity to the oil producing nations & it's a veritable "playground" for the US military/industrial complex to test the latest weapon systems. We, the US, are the preeminent arms merchants to the world. That is a fact. We are good at designing/building weapons, that is not up for dispute is it, no ?

You can take it that Mossad have been after BinLaden for the past three years as well.
The US subcontracted out the hunt for BinLaden, to Afghan warlords.
So it's fair to assume that Mossad were also contracted by the USA.
And he is still at large.

Essentially, it is immaterial if BinLaden is alive or dead - the issue has spread wider than him alone, anyhow.

I look at the numbers game : $12 billion US taxes per year to support Israel.
The antagonism of a whole identity (Islam) by supporting 10-20 million Israeli/Jews, who were given their country by the forcible removal of the
    Palestinian people in to ghettoes.

The numbers game tells me that the unconditional support of Israel makes no sense.

The US need to enage the root causes - take away the Palestinian problem, you take away the widespread support for Al Qaeda and BinLaden.
If there was widespread opposition to BinLaden and his aims, he would have been betrayed by now.

So when does this stop? We give in to this. The next grievance he has against us, do we give in to that as well? Should we go ahead and just surrender now? This is illogical thinking.

No - the reason why he has support is that a large constituency of people think that he is right and that is why he has managed to remain at large.

If he was a lone voice - he wouldn't have the support that he has had and he would have been captured a long time ago.
    BinLaden/Al Qaeda don't operate in a vacuum.
People don't support someone for no reason whatsoever.

It is obvious that the reasons that BinLaden has given to launch this war - clearly resonate with a large constituency of people.

You've had three years of trying to tackle this matter - new thinking is needed.

Do you believe that Israel would hesitate using Nuclear Weapons if backed into a corner?
I have no doubts, and then what selective strikes between Israel and half the Middle East.
    Should be a party!
