no, it's all wrong!
You need to mount the fan behind the rider to provide additional
thrust making the bike move faster and that will generate more cooling.

Same if you're cold to some extent. In fact, I was thinking about
that along the flat stretch on the way home tonight,' finding the
right cadence/gear combination that kept me warm without unduly
increasing wind chill by actually going faster. Or, pedalling slower
but working harder without going too fast.

No wonder driving is so boring.

cut off starts shooting at you. At 85 mph.

Rush hour on the Ike may be 10 mph, but in my experience the traffic is
just light enough to have closely packed vehicles moving at 70+ mph at
lunch hour.

Even more exciting is getting on the Ike from Harlem when traffic is
heaving and moving fast. Accelerate hard and hope there is a gap when
you get to the end of the ramp.

For even more excitement, I once got hit by a bouncing golf ball on the Ike!

That actually reminds me of a ride I took last summer.

West of St. Charles, IL, I was heading north on Burr Rd, just north of Dean
St. As I'm riding, I see a sign that says

Cyclists Caution
1 Mile Ahead

I'm thinking "WTF?". As I reach the mile mark, I come over a small rise and
see...

A golf course. The Royal Hawk country Club, to be exact. They managed to
keep 'em on the fairway as I rode by, though.
