  1. Developed by who many pro's consider "The Master" coach, the ledgendary Swiss coach Paul Koechli. Lemond and Hinualt call him"The Master" to this day as do many young pros!

Here's a quote from well know US pro and coach Adam Myerson.
"I'm using a power and heart-rate analysis software that Paul has created, and plan to meet with him this summer in Switzerland to hopefully learn as much as I can from him. I consider him the master."

My guess is this post will be deleated soon take a look fast.

Man, where have you been? 🙂

Here's a later quote from Adam (see http://lists.topica.com/lists/wattage/read/message.html?sort=&mid=910328839&start=0):

"I used Köchli's software for a number of year, but abandoned it due to its difficulty of use and lack of documentation."

Did you look at the screenshots? That's a pittance on a price-per-graph basis... 😉

It looks like it will generate a HR vs. Power relationship graph, which is something that several posters here seem to be interested in. I don't think WKO+ will even do that. 🙂

wow, that's good value then 😉 and to think i could copy the raw data into excel for free and do it that way 😄

Oh hang on... i burnt my HR strap after that Howe fellow told me to do it. or did i tell him? dunno, i digress.

Posts such as this are appreciated by all of us. I doubt one single member didn't give a peep to this url

And by the way your posts are appreciated too.

BTW, do you use this software? How do you find it?

  9. I've used PowerCoach. Bought my SRM back in 2002 through Paul, and he packaged in a free copy as part of the deal. Keep in mind CyclingPeaks did not exist yet, choices for power analysis were the Power Link software, the free SRM software, Polar or Excel.

I had about as much luck as Adam (who I worked with until last year, and shared an office with in 2002/3). After a while I just gave up on it and used the SRM software, calculating NP in Excel until CPS came out a while later.

In fairness, all the PowerCoach instructions were in German, and when I spoke with Paul on the phone there was definitely a language gap. I get the feeling that if either Adam or I had spent time in person with Paul, we'd have understood what he was getting after with all the stuff in there.
