  1. The motorist's equivalent of SOAP I think is "Car Using Neanderthal [censored]", not to be confused with
"Car Using Person" which is an altogether more sensible type of road user.

Dammit! We'd been discussing a name for our off-road gang (all three of us) and I came up with
Cyclists Using No Tarmac Surfaces but I'd hate us to be confused with certain types of car drivers
so now we'll have to think of something else.

Also steer clear of "Cyclists Riding Along Pavements"!

    :-)

I'm just imagining what a Neanderthal [censored] would look like. Is it some sort of catpult for
flinging prehistoric human remains out of a wound-down car window???

    Cheers, helen s

Or perhaps something more like the passenger seat in Mr. Bond's Aston Martin DB5... ;-)

Where you were on holiday you were very close to the Neandertal. You could have gone to see what the
    local tossers look like. ;-)

It's a catapult used to punish cyclists wearing b*bsh*rts. Does the
    PSF not own one?

I think neanderthal in this instance refers to mental development rather than physical, at least
most of the [censored] drivers I seem to come accross can hold the steering wheel still with their guts.
Which is just as well as they need their hands free to use their mobile and stuff toblerones down
    their gullets.

You forgot the [censored]. For some reason there seems to be a spate of Neandertal Tossers juggling a phone
and [censored] while failing to be in proper control of their pile of scrap iron.

Even more strangely, recent sightings of this sub-species all seem to have been female
