Will be watching this thread with interest. I was planning to ask the same
question, but to also say what is the chance of walking up Snowdon in late
March and seeing snow cover.

From the last few years, There has been Good Snow Cover over the
Christmas Period and even as late as March, this picture was taken on
6th March this year from the summit.

Given recent years, if you are only looking for a dusting-of-sorts, then
there is a better than even chance of white stuff falling in the Snowdon
massif/Glyder/Carneddau areas at some point over the Christmas/New Year
period. If you are after something less ephemeral, then there is no
chance!

Take a look at http://www.hightrek.co.uk/snowdonia/winter.htm for a report
on the whole of last winter's snow fall in Snowdonia.

There is also a record of each winter going back to 98/99 so you get a trend
of the coverage. Go to the bottom of the snow report table for the links to
each year.

Try this site, http://www.llansadwrn-wx.co.uk/ice/snow.html, which keeps
track of the snowline in Snowdonia.

It gives the information for previous years, so gives you a good idea what
to expect.
