  1. I left my pump and spare tube at Smiths Gully this morning, but I'm
stuffed if I can find the place in yellowpages.com.au. Does anyone know
what the name of the place is. I just thought it was Smiths Gully
General Store, but even browsing everything for Smiths Gully I draw a
blank (although I did find a Smiths Gully winery so maybe we need to do
    a side trip with panniers)

Thanks Soiler and Peter. Called them and they found my pump. WooHoo!
Stuffed if I know why it appears in whitepages and not yellowpages.

I thought it was part of the cost of a business lline and it only cost
extra for more than the std one line entry.

winery sounds grand. may need lift home afterwards, hick, tho, hick...

Was damn nice getting out on a BR again.
Amazing how much i noticed (and appreciated) out there this morning.
All the downy bits had me doing all-time slowest speeds (or should that be 'slows'?) but shoulder held up OK(ish). bit sore now but the red wine is working its magical skills as i type (sip, type...).
Amazing ho harsh the cromo forks were on the tourer.
    CF has spoilt me 🙄
Managed a 17min 'climb' which Im rather chuffed with (even tho i wanted to stick with the much improved DaveB, but no fitness or standing makes a big diff) as i was guessing 18-20min and i could only muster a 17 on return from OS in March (PB being 14:25 before crits distraction) and was in winning/peak(for me) form by May, so there's hope yet in the ol' dawg.
Not sure the shoulder will progress as fast as the rest of me. Surgeon is muttering but Im playing 'deaf' at the mo...

Mate if you'd beaten me up the climb today I'd have to give the ride
away, especially with the thought of TimC on a roadie (he's not really
injured he's out doing secret training, same with Blah).

Yep, sorry DaveB, I was indeed training today.

Plum marinaded rissoles, some Coopers stout, and a lazy sit out the
back verandah of some friends in Upwey -- damn that place is out of
the way. Yay! for the Sunday Saver ticket.

Training it wasn't. On a rehearsal camp for our school production. Ate far
too well, bloody kids (and by default, us) didn't sleep much, so I didn't
get up and do my usual Staurday run. Think I put on five kilos for the two
days. Looking forward to one year celebrations next week.

You've done the BR so tell us what you bought (plastic I presume).
    Remember, you promised.

Good to see (or is that hear/read) that you got back out so soon and
    that the shoulder held up.

    Cheers

Yep I learnt from the earlier days not to go too hard too early. Used to
try and keep up with you, Gags and Blah for as long as possible, and
destroy the rest of my climb in the process. Now I go steady to the
first reduce Speed sign (with most of the hard climb done) and hard from
    there.

I thought about joining the BR this weekend just to see the new monster.
However lack of fitness and a dodgy back held me back (and the 2800km
    trip😉

Looks pretty sweet and I assume even better in the flesh. Any changes
over standard spec? Via Cecil Walker?

    Enough questions.

    Cheers

(if you're not buying a new bike get excited about someone else's new
bike - then steal it 😉
