Small Pump Recommendations

How much pressure do you need? Road bike-type pressures (90-120) or
MTB? If road bike, you'll find a lot of recommendations (including me)
for a Topeak Road Morph. For the 40 - 60 psi or so you need for mtb
tires, almost any mini pump will do the job.

Topeak Micro Rocket Carbon. It's only 6" long and weighs 55g. It's the only
micro pump I've ever had that will get you to 90psi (but it takes A LOT of
pumps). It's suppose to be able to go up to 160psi, but I've learned you
always have to halve those claims.

get a CO2 "pump".

They're less weight, work quicker, and no one will borrow it.

Those little pumps wear you out.

I agree, although I still carry a micro-pump (Crank Bros) as a just in
case. It's about 4 inches and does a decent job of getting > 80 lbs.
But really, the CO2 does a good, fast and effortless job. I think they
even make one that also converts to a mini pump. I would get that and
carry just it if I had it to do over again.

Note: I carry 2 C02 cartridges in case of a misfire or second flat.
