Slime in tubular?

Works great for small punctures (1mm or less). But pinpricks from glass
slivers are the majority of what you'll experience.

As a prerequisite, you'll need a tubular with a removable value core, which
is typically found on the higher-end tires. I slime rear tires as a
preventative measure. 10cc is enough.

I've seen it done, should work out fine--especially with tubies, as
the other option for most folks isn't repair, but to discard the whole
tire. In fact, Tufo sells their own brand of sealant specifically for
this purpose.

PitStop and Sean-n-Flate are similar products that can be installed
through a presta valve without a removable core. Moderately useful in
my experience.

Why do people still ride tubulars? I've only been a roadie for 2
years, but after 4000 miles on regular clinchers and tubes I've only
had 2 flats. Those both came on the same short ride as I rode through
star thistles thrown into the street from a weed whacker. I don't use
slime. I do obsessively make sure my tire pressure is 110lb before
every ride.

Objectively: You can get a little lighter wheel.

My opinion: You might as well ask why people ride fixed gears. Or why
people like Brooks saddles. Everyday has a little different tastes, a
little different needs.

I haven't gotten any pinch flats for quite a while. I've only gotten 2
flats on my commuter in the past 9000 miles or so (both from 1.5"
nails). But then I'm running really heavy tires.
