Quoted message said:Where are you going in April? Anywhere exceedingly cold?
Yes, a 21 day treking circuit from Lukla taking in 6 peaks, finishing on
Island Peak just south of Everest.
Quoted message said:If you do find you are two cold in your sleeping bag you can always put
some clothes on, or have something to eat, like an oaty biscuit to fuel
your body and keep you warm.
Also, sleeping bag liners can add some warmth.
Last trip was Bolivia and I took my Mountain Equipment bag, rated at -10C
with a silk liner. Admitted we were camping at 18000ft, and I did have to
put clothes on .... but still got cold during the night. Had an option this
time of borrowing a Skugpak, rated at -7 comfort to -15, but the
recommendation for the trip is 5 seasons, hence the original posting.
Wasn't sure on bag ratings.
