Good for you :-) Did I say they didn't? I was simply responding to the
OP's
Quoted message said:stated *problem* when riding a bike wearing a skirt. Wear suitable shorts/leggings and the problem
no longer exists.
Actually, the original problem wasn't "what should I wear to ride my bike" but "Is there something
to add to my bike so I can wear what I like to wear." So while you are thinking of coming up with
appropriate wear for cycling as an activity she is looking for appropriate bike accessories so she
can wear what she wants. For instance, do you look in your closet and say, gee, I'm going to the
market today, what special clothes do I need to wear for taking the car?

Quoted message said:Really, it's another step toward getting more people cycling.
Was this a campaigning thread??? ;-)
Quoted message said:Many people feel uncomfortable in jockey get-up yet might like to ride or at least try it if they
didn't feel that they had to look and perform like athletes
Did I mention anything about being an athlete to cycle? No. Have you seen
me?
Quoted message said:No. Do I look like an athlete? Hahahahahahaaaa! 'cuse me whilst I stop
myself
Quoted message said:peeing my pants ;-) I am very, very, very unathletic, and very, very
unslim,
Quoted message said:yet I enjoy riding my bike daily. I just happen to enjoy it more when
wearing
Quoted message said:suitable shorts/longleggings :-)
There are many places I take my bike where shorts/long leggings are inappropriate; museums, business
meetings, nice restaurants. And though changing is an option, often the 5 minutes it takes to find a
bathroom and change is longer than the time it took to get me there on the bike.
Now I admit, if I'm going out for a 30 mile training run that starts and ends either at my house or
the local Starbucks I will wear bike shorts, a bicycling jersey, gloves, clipin shoes, and take my
road bike. But when I'm heading to a fancy luncheon followed by a trip to the grocery store I hate
to determine my outfit on whether I take my car or my commuter bike.
