  1. I've started skipping rope as a supplement to my running.

It is very strenous. There is not a lot of transfer between
running, and jumping rope, at least not for me. Three min,
and I'm winded. Give it a try.

Nothing wrong with skipping rope, just be sure you don't go outside in that
ballerina's pink tutu. You'll likely get the [censored] beat outta ya.

It's a matter of economy. Until you get good at skipping, you will
skip inefficiently (excessive vertical motion) and burn a lot of
energy, which tires you out. Running will do a lot for your
cardiovascular fitness, but absolutely nothing for your skipping
    skills.

    Cheers,

  4. Gee, I would give it a try, but my dignity keeps getting in the way.
    How do you do it?

I don't have to worry about bouncing [censored]🙂

  6. Most of the time in the boxing gym, all we did was run and jumped rope.
Jumping rope just does something to ya in another way. I think they call it
    stamina.

Skipping sure beats running in the cold and wet...also great skill
    transfer for alpine skiing.

Looks really cool in a pink tutu too!

  10. Carver,
I have no issues with you jumping rope, however the pigtails is going a
    bit far.
