OK, so what's the deal? When I watch pros ride, I notice 2 things.
- To me, it looks as though their saddle is not too far up (i.e. their butt is not too far from the ground and their legs are not fully extended at the bottom of their stroke).
- However, I've also noticed that most pros' bikes have a great height difference between their saddle and the handle bars (i.e. the seat is much higher than the handle bars, thus giving the rider more of an aero position while in the drops).
So, how do they accomplish this? Do pros ride smaller frames than the rest of us, allowing them to get as aero as they do? Or am I maybe just imaging all of this? Any comments would be appreciated.
