I presume that was on the sound. Seriously nasty.

Yes the sound is quite telling he (the chap in the yellow helmet)
is asked why he is stopping he comments on the price of failure
the other chap does it so (TCWYH) tries it, with the results as
seen, there is a lot of swearing as the actual event takes place
then a voice of camera says "did you film that?".

Think it was filmed because he was wearing a helmet-mounted camera. From the
soundtrack, one of them shouts, "Are you alright?" the feint reply from the
    valley floor, "Not really."

I must admit, it had the same effect on me - so that's two of us.

I'd like to know if the bloke survived with all his faculties, though...

Thanks - at least that makes me feel a bit less sick!! Strikes me that Miles
    is one very lucky chap!

I was laughing at the beginning; did he really say "dude"?

Good to see he escaped relatively unscathed.

I think the term "relatively" is important in this context... those knees
looked pretty scathed to me! :-)

It looks as though his trouble started because he went too high and
too far to the right in order to stay as far as possible from the
edge. It's one of those situations where, if the drop were only 2
inches, you could ride the path all day. Knowing the drop is there
makes it difficult to ride normally. I certainly wouldn't fancy it.
