  1. Finally I got around to dropping off the completed forms to join Hawthorn CC. Club jerseys are presently on back order, but I hope to be racing as soon as one comes in!

    Ritch.

PS. Driving a tinbox from Ascot Vale to Richmond is very slow. I'm pretty sure I could run faster (almost).

Yah, reading all these road race reviews is about to get me into much deeper water also im sure! Which of course means more than likely ill have to upgrade to a full licence and get the club jersey.

Just to (partially) derail this, how many of the regular BR'ers are absent this weekend with coleraine on?

Never done Kinglake, so that could be a plan!

However, I'll wholeheartedly agree with the Wednesday comment.

I was advised by the helpful lady in the shop that a club jersey is required in combine events, though I might be able to ride in a plain jersey if I plead that I'm new at the club...

A letter from the club stating that jerseys are on backorder should keep you out of trouble. 😄

You only need the club jersey for open events, like coleraine this weekend. For all the Northern combine events you can wear what you like. Saying this theres no racing for the next two weeks anyway, so you'll prob have your jersey for the next race.

    racing😕

The rule is that you can wear any sleeved jersey in a club or combine
event, but if you ride an open (eg Coleraine) you must wear a club,
blank or sponsored (and have permission from CSV) jersey.
