I have developed a slight side-to-side movement in my fron hub (Chris King). Even off the fork the center cylinder moves about 1/8 inch. I don't think this is normal. I took it apart and the bearings look fine. It's just the cylinder moving. Any ideas? Rebuild time?

By cylinder I meant the axle. My brain is on vacation today.

That's what you get for buying that [censored]! 😉
I have no idea, but I thought I'd just badger you a little. I hear their customer service is great. You could give them a call and ask...

I'll call as soon as I get off of my lazy ass. It's powernap time at work.

I called and their CS is very good. Answered the phone on the first ring with someone who was knowledgable and asked all the right questions. As I am the type of person who likes to try things for themselves (then end up breaking it and sending it anyway), I purchased the hub adjusting tool. We'll see what happens but they said the cones most likely need adjustment outside of the normal 5mm hex wrenches you are supposed to use. So you have a choice of the $25 cone adjusters or the $75 full tilt hub tool. Of course the thing looked so purdy I had to spend the big $$$. 🙂
