  1. I am torn between two shoes, the Sidi Genuis Lorica, and the Shimano R-151. They both fit well, the Sidis are more expensive, but the Shimanos have carbon soles. This will be my first pair of road shoes. Cost is not a deciding factor. Which do you guys and gals recommend?

  2. I doubt that you can go wrong with either, but since money is no object, have you tried the Sidi Genius 4 - Carbon or the Ergos? I wouldn't want to get into the which is best argument over shoes, but I am a big fan of Sidi for both durability and comfort. And Sidi will probably still be in the shoe business next year, but with Shimano who knows.

  3. Sidi, any model.

  4. I have shimano shoes and am completely happy with them, love the move to carbon sole.

However my one piece of advise (especially if you race) is to make sure you get a pair of shoes with the little latch thing so that the shoes can be easily tightened while riding.

    Rollo

  5. I have the shimano R-151 shoes and IMHO think they are the most comfortable shoes I have used to date. Used to ride look and time shoes and neither fit or feel as good as these shoes do even after 4+ hours of riding.

  6. Sidi, Sidi, Sidi.

    The best in the business.

Agreed. I'll likely never get a different shoe.

  8. funnily enough i've just been in the same situation between the exact same pairs of shoes.

i bought the sidis from probikekit because i saved 150 aussie dollars. if i bought here it was this equation:

    shimano 151 $289
sidi genius 4 $165 even after the exchange rate !!!!!!!!

have been riding sidi road and mtb for 10 years so the decision was obvious. no need to change and with the cash i saved i bought a pair of look 247 pedals as well!!
