Shimano shoe bolts?

I have a pair of men's 45 size M037's (does the W indicate women's).
I still have the rubber tongues and the matching bolts. You can have
them if you want, as I don't think I'd ever want to be without the
SPDs. I'll have a look for them at home tonight.

Try removing the one from the other shoe and matching it either at
your local LBS or hardware store / car accessory shop. It is probably
a standard thread and should be easy to match.

Probably an M5 or similar. Take it into B&Q and play with a few screws
to get the thread size, see if they have anything suitable to fill it.
Otherwise, if the cover isn't falling off then so what, if it is a
little dollop-ette of silica bathroom sealer or similar should glue it
in place while not preventing it coming off when you want it to in future.

Thanks guys! Yes, I'd wander off to B&Q but it's a bit far/impossible
to get to currently, and I wouldn't put it past Shimano to have used
some odd thread anyway.

Yes the shoes are W for womens, but since the cleats screw into these
holes I'm assuming they must be the same as on the blokies shoes ;-)
All I need is one of the cross-head screws that hold that rubber bit in
place, I'll be putting a dab of something on to stop them ejecting
themselves in the future, too!

I've stuck a munged email addy in the 'reply-to' - take out the obvious
bits, and we can sort out mailing addresses and postage etc.

I don't think its an odd thread, its probably just M5, though I'm not about
to go out and rummage around the shed to check.

The "something" to smear on the thread being any one of:

Threadlock ( the "proper" stuff, but why spend 6 quid on a bottle which gets
used once ? )
Varnish ( nail varnish, wood varnish, whatever falls closest to hand. I'd
avoid water based wood varnishes (usually the low-odour types) )
Snopake ( do people still sell it ? )
Paint, suggest traditional gloss or model-making enamel paint. Avoid water
based paint.

Interestingly, the bolts I'm sending to Velvet today have some strange
pink rubbery substance on the threads. I assume this is the original
threadlock.
