The LBS at tuggerah has them, as does clarence st cyclery in sydney.
Just got some Kool Stop eagle 2's from The Bike Shed, Woden, ACT - discovered I had no front brake this morning and they were the only ones that would fit my calipers. Not so keen on them eating my Velocity Dyads though.
Must remember to spot the wear before it reaches 45degrees!

Definately the Koolstop pads. They last longer, stop better and remove and pick up bits of your rims. They are harder to find though.

A friend of mine has told me she's had no luck finding koolstops in Australia, period.
Thankfully, she's offered to buy a load when she's in the States as part of her round the world trip. (lucky cow 😉 )

I will get some for you too Bluenose.. (For those interested, Phantom Cycles has/had them listed on their webpage but have been unable to obtain stock for over a year) I did manage to pick up some track chains, bars, stem, chain tensioners, tools........ the list goes on! *grin* Gemm

Well they had some koolstop pads cannot tell you what type.

The ones we're all after are shimano-road compatible, the orange/salmon colour. Not black.... let me know! Gemma
Clarence Street have both colours (black and salmon)(plus black for Campy). They are part no C89 (both seem to have the same number). They both say to fit Shimano ST-740. $25 a pair. The salmon ones are hidden at the back which is why I did not see them last time.

Yeah I had a look when I was in there yesterday.
What I really want is some of the other colours. I have some yellow ones on the tandem, I don't know how long they'll last (very soft) but they work fantastically. I'm guessing they don't make these anymore... the LBS at Tuggerah (before it was bought out) used to stock the whole range of koolstop pads. Not sure what they've got now, every time I go in there the staff seem to rub me the wrong way.
